In this course we are going to focus on the following topics:

- An Introduction to Modern Spatial Economics
- Consumers in a Market

- Aggregate Demand
- Spatial Equilibrium and Positive Analysis
- Comparative Statics and Counterfactuals
- Welfare Gains and Policy Evaluation
- Invertibility and Measurement of Spatial Fundamentals
- Estimation of model elasticities
Timetable:
the course takes place every day from 9:30am-12:30pm at Haus Weltclub. In the afternoon students are going to go through a problem or reading.

Treb Allen (Dartmouth)
Treb Allen, or David West Allen III, is Distinguished Professor of Economics and Globalization and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.Previously, he was an assistant professor at Northwestern University and Dartmouth.He is also Editor of the Review of Economics and Statistics. He received his Ph.D. from Yale University. His research focuses on economic geography, trade, urban economics, economic development and economic history.
