Dr Wan-Hsin Liu is a Senior Researcher in the Research Centers "International Trade and Investment" and "Innovation and International Competition" at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Since 2016, she has also been Coordinator for the Kiel Centre for Globalization. Her research focuses on the development and consequences of direct investment and global supply chains, as well as the determinants of innovation activities with a focus on China. Dr. Wan-Hsin Liu obtained her bachelor degree from the National Taiwan University in 2002 with Accounting as her major and Economics as her minor. After that she studied Economics at the University of Münster and obtained her German master degree in 2006 (Diplom). She earned her doctoral degree in 2012 at the Kiel University (Dr. sc. pol.).
