Nils Jannsen is Senior Researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and responsible for the German Economic Forecast. He coordinated several consulting projects, e.g., for the German Federal Ministry of Finance, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, or the European Parliament. He worked as an Economist and as a Consultant for the European Central Bank. His research interests include business cycle analysis and forecasting and the causes and consequences of financial crises.
