Kiel Subsidy Report 2024: High subsidies despite budget bottlenecks

The Kiel Subsidy Report 2024 covers the years 2023 and 2024 based on the planning data for the federal budget. In addition, the total subsidies in Germany, including financial assistance from the federal states and their municipalities, are estimated conservatively. A conservative estimate of total subsidies yields a subsidy volume of EUR 285.3 billion, or 6.6 percent of gross domestic product.
