The Global Economy Prize is an initiative of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and has been awarded since 2005 in close conjunction with the City of Kiel and the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Commerce. The prize is intended to honor those who have proposed creative, pathbreaking initiatives to deal with globalization and who dare envision a more wholesome future by addressing the global problems of our time. It is awarded annually to influential personalities in politics, business, and science, who have made an outstanding contribution to establishing a just and protective society based on individual initiative and responsibility.>

Please use the attached accreditation form to register by June 14, and remember to register all other members of your team. The annual press pass issued by the Press and Information Office of the German Federal Government is not valid for the award ceremony.

Please enter the event via the building of the WTSH at Lorentzendamm 24. You can also use the WTSH parking lot.

Please note that entry is only possible up until 10:30 a.m. Please be aware that for security reasons, your technical equipment has to be inspected before you can enter the event. Therefore we would like to ask you to arrive early.

Before the event officially begins, there will be an opportunity to take a group photograph of the laureates.
